Supported Employment: Foundations for Effective Service Delivery

This introductory course provides a practical overview of supported employment and the essential practices that contribute to successful employment outcomes for individuals with significant disabilities. Participants will explore the history and evolution of supported employment, key principles of competitive integrated employment, the phases of service delivery, stabilization, natural supports, and strategies for fostering long-term employment success. Through discussion and real-world case examples, participants will strengthen their understanding of effective supported employment practice.

Audience: Professionals who provide supported employment services and workplace supports to people with disabilities, including employment specialists, job coaches, vocational rehabilitation staff, and related workforce practitioners.
